Interesting email this morning from Lisa Perrotti-Brown, who tells me she is starting a new wine column for erobertparker.com, specifically looking at the Asian wine scene. That means, as she puts it:
'Travelling throughout Asia, she will be submitting regular reports and stories of key Asian markets and events. She will also visit the growing number of Asian wine regions to report on grape growing and winemaking practices. But perhaps most importantly she will be providing consumer advocacy by tasting and benchmarking many of the thousands of wines available exclusively in Asia.'
Initially covering Singapore, Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Lisa is based in Singapore, and has this year just become the territory's first Master of Wine. Sounds like she going to have an absolutely fascinating job...
